Williams/Bally made this game in February of 1985.  Due to the popularity of the 1972 Fireball which was an electro-mechanical game, they decided to do a remake that consisted of 2,000 games.  This version does not use the "zipper" flippers as found in the 1972 game, but it's still a very popular game with a unique layout such as no outlanes, a 2 or 3 ball multi-ball, and a challenging two-way skill shot for bonus points. The game features 2 flippers, 3 pop bumpers, 3 mushroom bumpers, 2 captive ball kick-out holes, a messenger ball, a spinning disc in the lower center of the playfield, a two-way ramp skill shot, a left outlane kick-back, and either 2 or 3 ball multi-ball. The game was designed by George Christian with artwork by Doug Watson.
