The pictures below were taken while staying in the Loire Valley area during June of 2006.  Our home base was Amboise where we could drive very short distances to see the beautiful chateaux that are near the Loire River.  We visited this area during our 2004 trip, but decided we needed to see yet a few more chateaux in the area.  Just like 2004, we took the Chunnel from London to Paris (very enjoyable), and then stayed in Paris before departing for Amboise.
